OUR MOST USER-FRIENDLY DJEMBE: the Alpine Series Djembe puts up with outdoor elements like dirt, sand, moisture, and sun; plus, it's easy to clean, lightweight, and tunes in seconds
  • OUR MOST USER-FRIENDLY DJEMBE: the Alpine Series Djembe puts up with outdoor elements like dirt, sand, moisture, and sun; plus, it's easy to clean, lightweight, and tunes in seconds
  • WHY IT MATTERS: you can play more outdoor settings like drum circles without hassle since the djembe requires little to no maintenance; the Alpine Djembe is always ready to go from beaches to parks to open mic night
  • HOW IT WORKS: the shell and head are 100% all-weather synthetic material, so they won't expand or contract with changes in weather which can affect tuning and longevity; this material also resists dents/scratches and cuts down weight
  • ONE TAKEAWAY: it's easy to get thumping bass and crisp slap tones that carry across distance; strike the center of the head with your palm for bass and near the rim with the length of your fingers for high-pitched slaps
  • HOW TO ADJUST PITCH: includes a tuning wrench to make quick adjustments or head changes; tighten the steel tension rods for a higher pitch and loosen to drop pitch (djembe comes pre-tuned)
  • BY THE NUMBERS: shell measures 12" wide x 24" tall and weighs about 8 lbs; head measures 12" with a 10" playing area (head is slightly larger than the playing area because it wraps around and down the rim)
  • THE BOTTOM LINE: have fun playing the Alpine Series Djembe anywhere, and don't worry wondering if it'll hold up; it's made for all skill levels and comes ready to play right out of the box
  • THE BIG PICTURE: Meinl is a family-owned musical instrument manufacturer and brand established 1951 in Germany; our expert German designers have deep relationships with our builders to ensure you're delivered the absolute finest quality
